‘The Dark Side Of Paradise’ a gothic & halloween themed styled shoot filmed at Crabapple Barn in Sussex.
Crabapple Barn is such a gorgeous venue complete with its own lake and boat, perfect for couple shoots
I’ve always loved a bit of goth so this gothic & halloween themed shoot was right up my street and we couldn’t of asked for a better couple in The Robinsons. Not only are they super professional but good fun to boot, it’s important to me to have a good vibe shooting weddings and during styled shoots and these huys bring it for sure! As a bonus they just happen to be amazing models too, the full package!
All the Suppliers at this shoot at Crabapple Barn were insanely talented & the design and concept was on point. Lauren Beth Photography & The Elysian Styling Company put this shoot together so full credit to them for bringing this Gothic vision to life, I’m just glad I was there to capture it x
Here’s what Lauren had to say about the concept for the shoot:
“I really wanted to create something alternative using deep rich colours to reflect the time of year. After approaching a local stylist and a beautiful barn venue, we gradually built up an amazing team of suppliers! Our aim was to create a beautiful micro wedding setup using seasonal colours with a gothic theme and an elegant touch of Autumn
From the dark wooden furniture & deep coloured glassware and crockery, to seasonal coloured florals, together with black and gold stationery, finished with a ‘You & Me’ neon light, we wanted to create a beautiful intimate setting for our wedding couple. We had a delicious dark drip cake with fresh autumnal fruit and mini black and gold pumpkin cakes for favours to compliment the large pumpkin decor. I felt it was important to add a personal touch to reflect the intimate setting and focus on our wedding couple. We had an elegant glass jewellery box with our couples initials, along with pumpkins personalised with our Bride and Groom names
Our bride & groom were dressed in deep burgundy and black. Our bride wore a stunning black dress complimented with handmade accessories including a black lace garter and black crystal tiara. For hair and makeup, we went for dark smokey eyes with deep burgundy lips, loose curls with delicate braiding throughout”
Crabapple Barn was the perfect venue for this shoot with its rustic look and those doors to the barn were just perfect! Loved everything about this shoot so enjoy the film x
