Here’s Jake & Melissa’s wedding film from Donnington Manor Hotel from Xmas 2019.
It was an amazing day with family and friends, Xmas is such a lovely time to get married with all the festivities and joy that the season brings & Donnington Manor Hotel in Sevenoaks brought the Xmas vibes to Jake & Melissa’s special day.
I was really taken by Jake & Melissa’s love story and how they bonded over some difficult times for Melissa. I don’t want to make it all about the illness because it’s not, they have a real love for each other regardless of what is going on in their lives but I do think that its times of hardship and struggle when true love can really come to the forefront. Mellisa’s fathers speech about Jake and his care of Melissa was really touching, you definately need to watch!
I really felt that this was a story that needed to be told and I already had some lovely footage from the wedding day itself @ Donnington Manor Hotel in Sevenoaks but I felt it would be great to do a couple shoot with Melissa & Jake near their home and talk to them one on one about Melissa’s illness and how they are now both doing, you need to watch until the end to find out?
The wedding @ Donnington Manor hotel in Sevenoaks was lovely, Melissa’s dress was stunning & Jake got really emotional when she walked down the isle, again it’s a must watch! She arrived at the hotel in a gorgeous classic car with her father and although there was a bit of rain it didn’t put a dampner (pardon the pun) on the day. The bridesmaids all looked gorgeous and the ceremony room was decorated beautifully with some subtle Xmas additions that gave an Xmas wedding vibe.
There were some really heartfelt speeches, some of which are on Jake & Melissa’s highlight film and Jake’s sister did a lovely performance in the evening which you can also see. I love it when there are some really personal touches on the day that I can use to add to the story.
The couple shoot took place at night for this one, winter weddings obviously don’t have the amount of daylight as summer weddings do so you need to account for this. As long as you get some decent lighting involved you can get some amazing couple shots and venues such as Donnington Manor Hotel in Sevenoaks lit up at night look stunning. Jake & Melissa’s shoot was stunning and Jake’s jacket was a fab addition to Melissa’s dress!
the staff @ Donnington Manor Hotel in Sevenoaks were amazing as were all the other suppliers involved and I had a really lovely day capturing this. I love capturing stories, every couple has a different story to tell and I loved that Jake & Melissa had such a compelling story to tell with the best happy ending!
